About Liz Long Rottman, LPC, LMT

LizOverwhelmed by the chaos…

Life can feel that way, especially when it’s riddled with sleepless nights and unrelenting fear. When you’re struggling to keep your head above water, even the simplest tasks feel monumental.

Perhaps you’re yearning for connection, but instead, you find yourself retreating into detachment and shame.

Some days, getting out of bed feels impossible… but pulling the covers over your head does not give you the relaxation you need.

The aches and pains never really go away.

And seeking medical attention hasn’t helped, leaving you deflated and frustrated.

You miss being part of the world, but the thought of moving forward leaves you frozen.

Relationships feel strained, burdened with guilt and unresolved issues.

And through it all, there’s a deep desire for peace and stability – a longing to reconnect with your authentic self.

A mile in your shoes…

When you step into a session with me, you’re entering a space that’s warm, inviting, and free of judgment.

We’ll sit together, not just as therapist and client, but as two human beings on a journey toward understanding and healing.

The environment is one of safety, where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations without fear.

This isn’t stereotypical talk therapy.

So, you won’t be lying on a couch talking about your week.

Instead, it’s an interactive process where we use various approaches to make you feel seen, heard, and supported.

We might explore movement, discuss your personal philosophy, or engage in practices that connect your mind and body.

I’m here to help you – ALL of you.

Through a unique blend of somatic bodywork, body psychotherapy, and somatic education, I help high-achieving and gifted adults who feel stuck and disconnected from their agency.

My approach is holistic, addressing the interconnectedness of your body, mind, psyche, and community.

Together, we’ll resolve long-standing patterns that keep you feeling trapped. By integrating movement, philosophy, mythology, spirituality, and psychology, I help you achieve inner freedom and the ability to make decisions with ease.

Whether it’s through exploring your body’s wisdom or untangling complex emotional patterns, our work together will empower you to pursue your wants and needs in life with confidence.

Let’s do this!

If you’re ready to explore what’s holding you back and reconnect with your authentic self, reach out.

We start with a free consultation, where we’ll discuss your needs and see if we’re a good fit to work together.

This can be your first step toward the thriving, fulfilling life you’ve been craving!

Don’t wait for peace and control. Reach out now… I’m here for you.

A little more about me…

In college, I studied philosophy and the history of math and science. Not too long after that, though, things changed…

I lost my ability to think clearly. I got a full medical workup to try to figure out what was going on, but it didn’t reveal any abnormalities. I got no answers.

I did traditional talk therapy, which helped, but it didn’t address the chaotic emotions and pain I was feeling in my body.

I went on a decade-long quest to understand what I was going through. I learned psychotherapeutic techniques that addressed and resolved conflict in the body, eventually synthesizing them into a unique approach that I now bring to you at Prosopon Therapy.

Put my experience and study to work for you!

Reach out today, and we’ll schedule your free consultation.
